Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs is helping out on her forthcoming album and the hip hop mogul spoke with MTV News at the Video Music Awards about his role in the effort. “We went in the studio and cooked up something hot for the dance floor, made something real sexy,” Puffy said. “It’s going to be great.” Besides ballads, dance tracks and Middle Eastern rhythms, Spears also raps on one track, ‘Brave Girl’. “I think she’s giving you a lot to work with,” Diddy said. “She’s broke out of that just pop [style], just being a pop artist. She’s being a trendsetter. She has many styles. You don’t know how she’s going to come and hit you next.” Read more.

“As a performer, as an artist, as a songwriter, she ain’t no slouch.” — P. Diddy Awesome quote, I am beyond ecstatic for this album! I’m so glad that Britney has taken control of the music she makes, choosing her collaborators and putting immense input into the writing process. It took a year to make and an even longer of a wait for the fans but I have a feeling this album will be mind blowing!

This new album that Britney has in the works will be perhaps her best album to date man, even though we haven’t heard it, everyone else in the business who knows music better than she does are saying that they are impressed with her new work, even P. Diddy said he found some new respect for Britney. I’m not surprised by this though, because already a lot of artist have been saying her new music rocks. just a few days ago, my DJ on D.C’s popular hot 99.5 said that he heard her new single and a couple of new tracks and he said he really liked em and said even though Britney may look the same wit blonde hair and the skanky clothes, are music has 100% changed to something surprising. and for all you who don’t know, he hates Britney’s music and didn’t like to play it back then, and look now…he loves her new music.

Honestly I am not a fan of Britney Spears, and haven’t liked any of her recent albums since Baby One More Time, but to be fair, I will at least give her the chance to see if her music has gotten any better or different. I hope this album will be accepted by other fans or non-fans that can at least listen to her new album before judging her new musical ambitions.

That’s awesome! I think Britney will change many peoples’ views of her, musically. Of course there’s always gonna be those close minded, sad individuals who have nothing better to do than critique every part of her. Their loss.

Wow, if P.Diddy wants to work with you (and is working with you) that means you are talented. At least he thinks so, and that’s a major thing. Yay Britney!

^^ “if P.Diddy wants to work with you (and is working with you) that means you are talented” you mean like… Dream??? :P

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA. omg. P. Diddy helped produce the album….so of course he’s gonna plug it every chance he’ll get. next thing you’ll know he’s calling it a classic. and he’s right about her giving a lot to work with. it’s gonna be difficult to produce talent with someone who has none. that will just triple the work load. “She’s being a trendsetter”. Madonna’s a trendsetter. Britney is just tacky. and lol!! Britney rapping…..HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA.

you have something against Dream too?. They all right, I don’t know any of their songs, but I can tolerate them. They have their fans too.

That’s very good news. I can’t wait for this album and I hope it has a lot of dance tracks. And yes she is a trendsetter and has many styles plus talent! P. Diddy is so right

I am so excited for this album to come out. I don’t think Brit is really “rapping” either on that one song. I think they’re talking about ‘Brave Girl’, and I really wouldn’t call that “rapping.” It’s just her singing faster than all her other songs.
