Matt Nathanson Focused On New Songs & New Record
Matt Nathanson checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace on Tuesday (November 3), discussing his return home to San Francisco and plans to begin work on a follow-up to ‘Some Mad Hope’. The 36-year-old singer songwriter tells readers:
Home.
No shows. No plane flights. No suitcases.
This is a new concept for me.
I have to keep reminding myself that I’m not leaving.
It feels very indulgent.
I think i’m gonna start wearing satin pajamas all day.
And smoking a pipe.
Then I’m gonna let my beard grow….
And pay people to come to my house to shave me.
Oh the glory!
I’m drunk on the sweet nectar of freedom’s kiss!My only focus now is the new songs. And the new record.
Mark flies up on Monday for the week to write.
Then, the plan is a first round of recording in December…
But plans change. So we’ll see.
Plus, it isn’t super easy scheduling shit between spa treatments.
These shoulders ain’t gonna massage themselves, godammit!

New Maroon 5 Album Being Heavily Scrutinized
The third trailer is out for Maroon 5’s new album, coming out in 2010. The pop rock group will be on tour this fall. “We’ve got about 12 songs done, and I think we just keep improving, getting better,” Adam Levine says in the clip. “Every word, every lyric, every melody, everything they were doing is very heavily scrutinized, which is great. It’s as if you don’t want to have anything slip away. You want everything to be better than the best it can be.” Watch them in the studio in Geneva Lake, Switzerland below.

Umm-OMFG! I was walking ahead of Patrick with the security guard&some guy was following me, then pulled up in his car&pointed a GUN at me! I was on the phone w/my mum & I screamed and ducked & the guy started laughing & pushed the trigger & it was a fake gun.. I was crying.. he scared me :(

Katelyn Tarver Reflects On Her 20th Birthday
Katelyn Tarver checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace on Monday (November 2), which also happened to be the pop singer’s 20th birthday. Tarver writes:
Hello my friends!! It’s been a while I must say…. I want to go ahead and start off by saying I’m sorry I haven’t been updating as much lately. I’ve just been getting used to living in a new place, getting to know new friends, finding my place in this city…. just really trying to figure out what I’m doing and who I’m growing into… yeah, deep stuff I know… ;)
SO, I figured what better time to catch back up thannn…. ON MY BIRTHDAY!! I’m TWENTY!! If you can’t believe it, I can’t believe it ten times more. It’s weird to think I turned sixteen, FOUR years ago!!? What?!?? It’s truly hard to believe.. which makes me think.. wow– in the short amount of time it took from 16 to 20.. it will take the same short amount of time for me to be 24! then 28! then 32! Ok.. I’ll stop.. Basically, I’m saying my teenage years flew by. FLEW by. As I look back and think on them though.. they were amazing. I was thirteen the year that I really discovered my passion for music and performing. I was on a national TV show singing every week, and it was the greatest thing ever. Little did I know the ride it was going to take me on. And my family! Pursuing a career in entertainment has taken me on many different adventures.
