Ricky Martin At A Peace Conference In Puerto Rico

Yahoo! has a photo of Ricky Martin with former Costa Rican President Oscar Arias and Puerto Rican Gov. Sila Calderon at a peace conference at the Caribbean Hilton Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Monday (August 12). At the conference Arias denounced a recent U.S. decision to cut funding to the U.N. Population Fund, saying the lives of poor women were being put in jeopardy.

Atomic Kitten Name Album After Kylie-Penned Track

The Sun reports Atomic Kitten are so flattered over Kylie Minogue writing ‘Feels So Good’ for them, that they’ll be naming the second album after the track. “Oh my God, I just went crazy,” Natasha Hamilton said of the song. “I’ve grown up loving Kylie’s stuff. She’s a real inspiration to me – it’s got a real shake-your-bum vibe.” The album drops September 8th.

Animals Are A Big Part Of Aaron Carter’s Life

Mike Falcon of USA Today caught up with Aaron Carter who says he loves to bring his animals on the road with him. Carter owns ten dogs, four cats, an iguana, and a ferret and said, “Animals play a big part in my life, on tour or at home. RCA Furious Over Aguilera Delays On Album That Sucks

Globe magazine reports RCA execs are furious that Christina Aguilera delayed finishing her new album because she was in bed for six weeks, as she was still crying over her breakup with dancer Jorge Santos. “RCA spent $1.3 million making an album that sucks and probably won’t even gross $2 million,” said an insider.”If it doesn’t sell, they could bail on her.”

Krieff And Gorbunov Argue Over Bass ‘N Space

Lynn Elber of the Associated Press reports the war of words between David Krieff, a Los Angeles television producer who plans a series about Lance Bass’ space trip and space agency spokesman Sergei Gorbunov is continuing as the *NSYNC star’s hopes for space continue to squabble about money. “In my mind it’s a lot of talk and posturing. That is their style and I can appreciate it,” Krieff said Tuesday. “This is 100 percent going forward.” Gorbunov responded saying the comments were “foolish” and added, “But should he fly for free? Perhaps he (Krieff) thinks I am against the mission because I keep saying that he needs to pay.”

Australian Fans Embrace The New Kylie Minogue

Reuters reports that Australians are finally embracing Aussie native Kylie Minogue after panning her in the past, where her fan club was previously restricted to teeny-boppers and Sydney’s large gay community. “You had 7-year-olds, you had thirty-somethings and fifty-somethings. Everyone was there,” said concert-goer Melissa Favero, a 31-year-old who works in corporate affairs, after a Sydney show. “The pink, fluffy Kylie has gone and I can identify more with her now.”

Mandy Moore’s Forum Nuked As Fired Moderator Chuckles

Mandy Moore’s official site message board apparently was nuked by someone who got the moderator’s password. bills50000, a former moderator at on the forum, who was fired from moderating duties after his now infamous surprise visit to Mandy’s Florida home, explained, “The incompetant webmaster proceeds to demod the moderator and then ban the moderator. At this time, all the users started spamming, and the incompetant webmaster closed the message board. Good joke of the day.”

Colombians Don’t Compare Shakira To Britney Spears

TeenHollywood.com reports Shakira is surprised to hear comparisons to Britney Spears in American and Britain, something that hasn’t happened to her in Colombia. “My Latin people understand me little by little with each album. They don’t compare me to Britney, you know,” she said. “They’d be like, ‘What? Britney?’ Nothing wrong with Britney, she’s a great artist and very beautiful, but I was pretty surprised to be compared to her.” Read more.
