Fewer Fans To See Latest Kylie Minogue Tour In Australia

While over 200,000 Australian fans got to see on her last tour of the country, so far only 25,000 will be able to see two shows she’s scheduled in Sydney and Melbourne in August. The ticket prices have ramped up from $65 to $139 for the priciest tickets, but Kylie won’t come out in the black, according to Minogue’s manager Terry Blamey. “Our show cost over $2.5 million to set up and will cost us over $7.5 million to stage in Australia,” he said. “These are actual costs, not artists’ fees.” Read more.

Westlife Didn’t Have To Bail Live And Loud After All

While bailed on the Live and Loud festival anyways due to their wanting to watch the Ireland vs. Spain World Cup game (Spain won in a classic 3-2 shootout after two overtimes of a 1-1 tie), the festival was cancelled after torrential rains. Others who had expected to play the event in Glasgow in front of a crowd of 30,000 were Samantha Mumba, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and Blue. DF Concerts chief Geoff Ellis said: “Every possible provision has been made for bad weather in the run-up to the event. First Listen Of Jennifer Love Hewitt’s ‘Barenaked’

stopped by KIIS FM to talk with Rick Dees on Friday. She talked about working with Jackie Chan on ‘The Tuxedo’, her new album and working with Merideth Brooks on it, and the first single ‘Barenaked’ – which they play in its entirety during the interview. Rick had quizzed her midway through the song saying he didn’t think it was really her – so J-Love did an impromptu acoustic version of the song live in studio right after the recorded version finished. Britney Blows It By Not Singing After Blown Transformer

William Kerns of The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal shared his thoughts on ’ abrupt cancellation of her show in Lubbock on Friday after a transformer blew out. While saying Spears didn’t deserve to be booed for cancelling the show, he added, “On the other hand, Britney did blow it Friday. Blame it on her youth and inexperience when compared with stars with more life experiences. And blame a lack of confidence in standing alone in the spotlight without flames licking the ceiling or electronic gimmicks out of a Hollywood special effects spectacle. Spears is a recording artist. Kylie Minogue Tells Aussie Fans Get Ready Here I Come

posted a diary update on her official site on Thursday thanking her Australian fans and promising them she’ll be back home soon. Kylie writes, “Thanks for another hit single in Australia! I’m currently in Rotterdam, heading back to Germany tomorrow for our final show there. After that, as you probably know, only Paris and Milan to bring us to the end of this leg of the tour. Soon we’ll be ‘Down Under’ and back home! Tickets will be limited in Australia so make sure you’re ready when the shows go on sale. I know all of my team are very excited about going to Oz. Many of them were there last year (and loved it), but a number have never been there before. Needless to say I am assuring them that they will LOVE it. I have a ‘Christmas project’ that Willie and I are working on. I can’t give you details yet, but will do as soon as it is in place.” The project is reportedly a duet with fellow Aussie Nicole Kidman.
