Tivo Says Fans Replayed Britney Spears Ads The Most

The New York Post reports the Pepsi – ’ Super Bowl ads were the most replayed part of the broadcast on Sunday, according to Tivo’s study of viewers. As for which era of the Britney spots was their favorite, the 50s ad was most favored while the Robert Palmer – Britney in drag spot was least liked.

Pop Idol Aguilera Comparison Causes Judge Fight

The Sunday Mail reports Jade McGuire has revealed how she caused a bust-up between Pop Idol judges Pete Waterman and Simon Cowell. Jade said, “Simon didn’t look impressed at all. He just shot me this icy stare. Then he shrugged and said: ‘Well, the first time Christina auditioned for me she blew me away. You did nothing for me. I had no idea which Christina he was talking about, but I forced a smile.”

“That was when Pete Waterman picked up his clipboard and swiped Simon on the shoulder.”

80′s Pop Idol Playboy Spread Hits Stands March 4

Former teen pop idol will be the April centerfold in Playboy magazine, with the issue due to hit stands on March 4. The breast augmented said on her website, “I have grown significantly, both personally and professionally, after nearly a decade of raising a family and exploring my craft. I view my appearance in Playboy as the first step in presenting myself to the world as I am.”

Steven Patrick of The Star – Malaysia spoke with about several issues including talk that fans in England were laughing at her role in Crossroads. Britney said, “I know there-s going to be a lot of criticism. But I think if the critics like it, I’m going to be really worried because everything the critics like, I really hate. Everything the critics hate, I like. So if people watch the movie and get touched by it, that’s enough for me.”

Fans Claim Fix After Hear’Say Picks Old Pal

The Sun reports fans are furious after thousands of them tried out for Hear’Say thinking the band was going to pick an unknown talent to replace Kym Marsh. Johnny Shentall is not only engaged to former Steps star Lisa Scott Lee, but he was a dancer for Hear’Say late last year. Rochelle Reding, 18, of Loughton, Essex fumed, “There were rumors that Hear’Say knew they wanted a boy from the start. It’s disgusting. What a waste of time.”

Sophie Ellis-Bextor answered a series of fan questions on her official site’s message board including any plans on trying to bring her act to the U.S. Sophie said, “There were some questions about the States. I loved Fei de Sei’s question where they said I was a one hit wonder in America who had been forgotten. Sorry, but not even a one hit wonder! Groovejet made very little impact over the whole country. It was popular in certain states, but there wasn’t really lots to capitalize on. America is somewhere I’d love to visit for work but the time I go there is not for a while yet as I’ve got so much to do in Europe first.”

Neva Chonin of the San Francisco Chronicle profiled the success of Creed which Rolling Stone senior editor Jason Fine said has been derived by teenybopper fans of and the Backstreet Boys looking for a more ‘mature’ sound. Fine said, “Like , Creed is very savvy and convincing in what they do. They’re a big, old-school rock band going for a giant sound that seemed corny and over-the-top to the last generation. This type of rock music has been seeping up for the last few years organically, and we’re seeing the results of that now as the teen pop thing may be starting to fade.” Read more.

Puffy Contributing To J.Lo’s Remix Album

Entertainment Tonight spoke with Entertainment Weekly writer Dave Karger for his predictions on the new movie ‘Crossroads’. Karger gave a positive outlook while taking a shot at pop rival , “If can make 12 million dollars for ‘A Walk to Remember’ (in its opening weekend), ‘Crossroads’ could be a blockbuster.”

Yeah, but J.Lo’s draw only got $9 million opening week with Angel Eyes last year…
