Patti LaBelle’s Advice For Budding Divas

In wake of Christina Aguilera, Missy Elliott, Pink, Mya and Lil’ Kim covering Patti LaBelle’s ‘Lady Marmalade’, the veteran diva was asked by the Toronto Star what advice would she give to these budding divas. “I tell them, ‘When you go onstage and have half your ass and half your boobs hanging out – mine do because they are big – you have to respect yourself and keep your clothes on to prove to the world you are a singer not a stripper’.”
