‘American Idol’ judge Paula Abdul has issued the following statement in response to a private conversation she had where she complained about her former publicist Howard Bragman: “I am deeply hurt and extremely disappointed that someone has taken a private telephone conversation that I had with my representatives and released it to the media. This is not only illegal but also highly unethical. While I don’t feel a need to justify or explain my conversation, even as a public figure I do feel my privacy has been violated and find this action to be unacceptable.” Meanwhile, a source claims Abdul’s complaint that Bragman skipped her appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ after Paula had her assistant call him and ask him not to come to the taping, only to have the assistant call 45 minutes to an hour later asking why he didn’t show up.
