A source tells The New York Daily News that the lines Amy Poehler did as Paula Abdul to open ‘Saturday Night Live’ over the weekend were originally intended for the ‘American Idol’ judge herself, but Abdul backed out at the last minute and agreed only to cameo in the skit to critique the ‘SNL’ judges. “I guess she had some second thoughts about how far she wanted to go making fun of her situation,” the source said.
