Paulina Rubio Talks About Mariah Carey

Paulina Rubio was recently interviewed on Miami’s radio station 98.3 “La Calle” and they asked her about her upcoming plans for 2006. Paulina talked about her upcoming english album and working with Pharrell, P. Diddy, and that she wanted to work with Gwen Stefani. When People En Español’s “Star of the Year” for 2005 was asked who she thought was the Star of the Year in the english market for 2005, she didn’t hesitate to say Mariah Carey. She praised Mariah’s talent by saying, “I am a fan of Mariah Carey’s music. She writes her own songs, and she came back strong after they were trying to manipulate her career. She is showing that nothing can stop her. Good for her!” She also talked about a close encounter when they both attended the Operation Smile event where Paulina was named ambassador for Latin America for this organization back in 2004.
