Philippoussis: I Didn’t Dump Delta For Paris
Tennis star Mark Philippoussis told 2GB radio’s Alan Jones he and singer Delta Goodrem agreed to end their relationship because of their careers, denying reports he dumped her for Paris Hilton. “Delta and I had something special and unfortunately it didn’t work out and now it’s just making everything feel like it’s all rubbish, and it’s tough,” Philippoussis said. He added, “We’re both young, she’s just starting her career. She’s going to get bigger and bigger and I need to get my career back on track and it’s a decision we both came up with.” As for reports that had Hilton say he dumped Goodrem because she was “boring”, Philippoussis said he had spoken with the heiress and she denied making the comment. “There’s one thing Delta is not and certainly she’s not boring,” he said. “A lot of things have come out that’s hurtful because I’m not that type of guy at all.” Read more.
