Pink Launches Petition Against KFC

Pink has kicked off a petition asking KFC to make sure that the 850 million birds killed for its buckets each year aren’t abused in ways that would make any kind person lose their lunch: “PETA is asking KFC to eliminate the worst abuses that chickens suffer in the factory farms and slaughterhouses of its suppliers, including crippling injuries because of cruel breeding practices and the overuse of drugs, having their throats slit while still conscious, and being dunked into tanks of scalding-hot water while still alive and able to feel pain,” the petition reads. It continues, “I urge KFC to adopt the recommendations of PETA—and its own animal welfare advisors—to ensure that the gentle, intelligent animals who end up in its boxes and buckets each day are treated with at least the bare minimum of respect.” Read more and sign the petition if interested at KentuckyFriedCruelty.com.
