In a wide-ranging interview with The Mirror, David Beckham admitted he was concerned that many people thought he and wife Victoria Beckham, formerly of the Spice Girls, sold “every part of our lives” to style magazines – most recently the christening of their sons Brooklyn, five, and Romeo, two. “We haven’t done that for five years. Not once,” the soccer star insisted. “People see the ‘Exclusive’ tag on the front of a magazine and think ‘They’ve sold the christening pictures’. But all you see is cars going in and out of our gates. We don’t do that. We don’t involve our children. I don’t complain in general. The only thing I do complain about is the privacy I should get for the children. Everything else, I understand that there is publicity surrounding me and Victoria.”
