News of the World reports that Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, and Emma Bunton are in talks to reform the Spice Girls as a trio with Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm saying “no” to a full-scale reunion. “There’s already been some interest from record labels who are keen to sign a deal with just the three of them,” a source said. “Sadly, there’s no way the two Mels will agree to come on board so the rest of the girls had two choices, either give up or go it alone. Now Emma has been telling pals they’ll ‘do a Bananarama’ and continue as a trio. And with or without the other two they stand to make shedloads of money.”
