Posh Shows The Price Of Fame

David Thomas of the Daily Mail weighed in on Victoria Beckham, who he says is showing the price of fame. Thomas says of the former Spice Girl, “When [husband David] Beckham is mocked, there is always an undercurrent of respect. When Victoria is mocked – for her looks, her vulgarity, her spending or her shortcomings as a singer – she has nothing to fall back on. She seems to be back where she started. She’s still unpopular, except now her carping classmates have been replaced by the millions who criticize her. She should be a happy, successful young woman in the prime of life. Instead, she’s the living proof that however much the standards of physical perfection set by female celebrities may harm the average woman, they harm the stars themselves even more.”
