The Sun reports former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham’s future at Telstar Records is in doubt as a huge battle is occurring over her music moves with Damon Dash. “Telstar have refused to have anything to do with Damon Dash,” a source at the label remarked. “They don’t like his attitude and the threats he makes, and they don’t want to spend a fortune on the tracks he has produced. Many of the execs at Telstar feel the music is wrong for Victoria because she will never be taken seriously as a hip-hop artist. They’ve told her they want to stick to their original deal and put out dancey pop tunes, but she is determined to do hip-hop. Now they may wash their hands off the whole thing and cut their losses. They could go their separate ways in the next few weeks if the mess isn’t sorted out. It’s then up to Damon as to whether he would want to put the tracks out on his own label.”
