Posh’s Wedding Tiara Auctioned

A diamond tiara worn by former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham on her wedding day is being auctioned on the internet. Designed by Irish jeweler Slim Barrett, the Beckham Diamond Wedding Crown is made in 18 carat yellow gold and set with 240 cut diamonds. “I felt when I made it for her that I could have broken it up, but she has such icon status I decided to keep it together,” Barrett told the Manchester Evening News. “When she came to me I felt that she had such an association with diamonds that I had to make them the main feature.” Slim said that, aside from promoting his imminent launch in America, he is auctioning off the piece because he wanted to “de-clutter the studio.” Barrett plans to donate a certain amount of the proceeds to Irish-based charity Corporation Ireland, which helps under-privileged children in inner city areas. The tiara is currently bid at £100,300.50 in an auction ending October 13th.
