Positivity Isn’t So Bad, Is It?

Wow. You all are ferociously hard on and Christina Aguilera. However, I much rather focus on the positive about them instead of trying to bring them down. I’ll start with Christina.

Christina Aguilera’s strong and bold personality is the perfect match for her phenomenal voice. Her vocals have been compared to the likes of Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion–and with good reason. It is safe to say that her mighty voice is what got her the Grammy for Best New Artist. She has also received a Grammy for her part in Lady Marmalade, and a Latin Grammy for Spanish album, Mi Reflejo. This year she has scooped up 5 more Grammy nominations. While others may scoff at her attempt to explore her roots, I commend her for taking the risk of recording an album in Spanish. She also uses her talent to inspire millions of people to feel better about themselves and to stay strong. Her album “Stripped” is full of personal and heart-felt songs that we can all relate to. I also love the fact that she will wear anything she damn well wants to. Granted, her choice of clothing is often criticized, but not many celebrities have the “freedom” that Christina has taken for herself. The freedom to look and dress however she wants to without worrying if a hair is out of place or if she’s going to make the Worst Dressed list. In fact, she wants to make the worst dressed list. She is on her way to becoming a fashion icon. Her attitude is also scolded, but I like that she speaks her mind–even if what she’s saying is negative. After all, men do it all the time–but does anyone (the media) bash them for it?

Britney Spears is an all around wonderful entertainer. She makes music that makes you wanna get up and dance. It’s very upbeat and happy; it makes you feel good if you allow it to. Her songs really stick in my head and i often find myself bouncing around to the beat of her songs. We all know that she can dance her ass off too. She takes charge of the stage and captivates her audience. It’s really no surprise to me that she can easily be labelled the most popular performer right now. She has a wonderful personality. Even though she is such a mega-star, she still remains down to earth and sweet. She’s also a little on the goofy side, but i appreciate that quality. She keeps a smile on my face. Many people try and bash her voice. Yes, it’s not the strongest but it is strong enough. Mandy Moore doesn’t have a strong voice either, but I don’t see anyone bashing her because of it. Britney’s voice is soft and gentle, which is perfect for her style of music. Britney has a unique style of her own–mixing trendy tops and accessories with a simple pair of jeans. I give props to anyone who can make a pair of jeans look as good as Britney does :)

Both of these girls are very talented and successful in what they do. I think we should remember that things would be really boring if every girl was just like Christina or just like Britney. It’s nice that these girls are so different.

People with always got to take something good and turn it into shi@!!!!! Well I guess that’s why the world is the way it is today. People just don’t have any cuth anymore. So anyway peace and love to all.

The people here represent the really ignorant side of Britney and Christina fans.

I hate essays but that was a wonderful post,,, probably the best non- news we have had around here in a while. It was fair and honest and not just some fan of Brit or Christina hiding behind “Anonymous” and writing a sly attack on one of the two.

Yet, people like you DO NOT understand the word “Positive”.

I agree. Positive things are more fun to talk about and it will eventually lead to the Friendships of Britney and Christina fans. And yes, I do realize that “Friendship” is not a term for Brit and Chrissy fans in Popdirt. But somewhere else, it exist. Trust me, I know. I strongly urge Britney and Christina fans to be positive just for one day. Both gurls are unique in their own way and there is no harm to appreciate their uniqueness. And I do think it’s nice to know that both gurls are way different. Go Chrissy and Brit!

Thanks for being so positive. I also hope that Brit takes some of the criticism her fans have of her performances and contradictory behavior and puts on a good concert next year. Lately, she has been disappointing fans :(

Finally, someone says what I have been thinking all along, without being biased towards either girl. I like Britney and Christina equally, but in different ways. To me, they are just different ends of the pop spectrum. They both have their pros and cons, but over all they have terrific music.

I can find lots of positive and great things to say about both girls. Both girls are extremely talented in different ways, both girls have been smart enough to outlast everyone’s expectations, both girls are attractive, both girls are great role models professionally for young women, both girls work hard and have had tons of success, etc. I could go on, but I’d never stop. There are many great things to say about both Christina and Britney.

Congratz to both gurls for their truly amazing musics. I hope their music would still be around in 20 years. God job Britney and Christina.

I am 32 years old and I have seen the beginning of the careers of Celine, Whitney, Mariah, Madonna, Janet, etc. and I have never seen a singer with as much talent as Christina Aguilera in my life!!! I hope some of you guys start respecting her a little bit more and pay attention what she’s doing musically instead of personally all the time. I know a lot of you don’t like her attitude and the way she dresses sometime but isn’t it the music that is important because she is in fact a SINGER!!!! Remember guys Christina isn’t your sister, she isn’t your friend, she isn’t anything but a singer so what she does in her personal life doesn’t involve you at all!!! I advise everyone to appreciate Xtinas talent before her whole career just passes you by without noticing what a great singer she really is.

I think Christina is a wonderful singer, However personality does make a difference to me. I think the way you handle yourself makes you who you are, And being negative isn’t the way!!! But anyway your right Christina is a powerful singer. She just needs to be more thankful and not rude! anyway peace!

Gosh! Christina & Britney are not talented and surely do not have a voice :/ LMAO! It amazes me how stupid you are, meng. There is nothang positive about Christina, rather than her STDs because she got all positive for those (like ash6969 said LMAO!)!! I know how Tina inspires young little girls to be whores juss like her. That’s why you see a high rate of young prostis, because of Christina! Her fan base is basically 13 and under.. Whoeva else is a fan and is older must b a pathetic soul, LMAO! Tina only got those grammies and those nods because she gave them old filthy disgusting bastards head, which is such an insult to the purpose of winning a Grammy. Once and awhile you get someone who is talented, win a few Grammies!! Tina is nothang but a stripper, who belongs on stage at a strip joint! You give her more $$$ she’ll take ya to the V.I.P room!! AYE AYE
