Q Magazine’s 1001 Best Songs Ever

Q Magazine’s latest special edition presents the best 1001 songs ever. Michael Jackson has more songs on the list than any other solo male artist 8, his highest is -Billie Jean-. Madonna has the most of any female artist 7. and each got 2 songs featured but Britney defeated her foe with ‘Oops! I Did It Again’ at #92. The closest Christina got was at #101 for ‘Beautiful’. The Beatles scored 8 songs. U2 also has 8 and they hold the Best Song Ever honor for ‘One’. Radiohead one-upped the Beatles and U2 with 9 songs, ‘Creep’ being the favorite at #7.     Absurd. 1001 songs and Springsteen makes it once at 920? Like him or not, he’s got to have more than one in top 1001. Granted it’s more of an alt/pop list, but then where is Ned’s Atomic Dustbin? Superchunk? Counting Crows?

    this isn’t a very good list. this seems to be a list made for a teenager. I saw stairway to heaven at 200 something. stairway to heaven needs to be higher probably top 10

    Um why is my name is at number 6? I’m not a huge fan of Eminem but I think everyone will agree that My name is shouldn’t be at number 6

    The list is not very good despite one being one of my favorite songs of all time. I do agree that Bruce needs o be one the list more as well as he is very talented and born to run and other classics are not included
