Rachel Stevens’ Saucy Gig Raises The Queen’s Eyebrows

November 25, 2003 – The Daily Star reports that instead of dancing with red ribbons, as Rachel Stevens did on Top of the Pops, the former S Club star incorporated heavy duty chains and male dancers to seriously sauce-up the routine at the Royal Variety Performance. “It was obviously quite a shock for the Queen, but Prince Phillip seemed to enjoy himself,” an onlooker remarked. Although the Queen was not amused, Rachel seemed happy with her performance and said, “I hope the Queen had a little boogie actually.”
