As heads to Moscow to begin medical screening required of all would-be cosmonauts and space tourists, news comes down that Radio Shack will be sponsoring the *NSYNC member’s trip to the Star City cosmonaut training center.

Lance Bass Heads To Russia Today For Space Tests

March 21, 2002 – MSNBC reports *NSYNC star Lance Bass is taking a break from the Celebrity 2002 tour to go to Moscow for a medical exam to see if he’s up to the task of journeying into outer space. If he clears the tests and negotiations to get him on board the Soyuz capsule are successful by May, he could become the first celebrity to enter outer space. The reported $20 million would be financed by a reality TV show documenting his mission.

    I think it is safe to say that going into space is the life long dream of many kids. I have to applaud Radio Shack for sponsoring a multi millionaire for the trip. After all, Justin gets all the attention (and Britney too) so Lance needs something to make his poor, miserable life worth living right!?
