Simon Cowell confirmed to Us Weekly that ‘American Idol’ runner-up Justin Guarini has been dropped by RCA Records after selling only 57,000 copies of his self-titled debut. “He’s been dropped. It happens sometimes,” Cowell said at the ‘Love Actually’ premiere. ‘Idol’ champ Kelly Clarkson was shocked to hear the news. “Oh, my God,” she exclaimed. “I had no idea. I’m friends with Justin. That is so sad.”

I wonder when the Backstreet Boys are going to get dropped. I feel bad for this Justin Guarini this guy could actually sing. I guess he didn’t have a strong enough single like Kelly Clarkson had. I believe that movie from Justin to Kelly got better promotion than his solo album. I did like that song condition of my heart that Brain McKnight wrote for him.
I have the album because I won it at a radio station event and its not that bad. His voice is great but the songs that he was given were weak. Hopefully another record company will pick him up.
That’s sad. I would rather hear him than this Barry Manilow sounding guy Clay!
Everyone saw this one coming. His album fell off the Billboard chart almost as fast as Mariah’s Remix CD.

He should have pretended to be good clean boring fake Christian like Closeted Clay. Then all the bible lovers would bought his albums. I didn’t like the guy but he is definitely many many times more talented than the people from the second American Idol, especially Aiken!
Justin is almost as boring as Clay. That actually holds true for all the American Idols that made it to the final. Good thing for the judges or no one would watch.
