RCA Records responded to the Christina Aguilera article that appeared in YM magazine in which Alyssa Vitrano pulled no punches describing Aguilera’s attitude. They wrote, “As Christina Aguilera’s record label, we have to express our deep concern over the editorial slant in your december cover story on Christina. Based on the malicious tone that YM used throughout the article, one would question the reason for putting her on the cover. Christina wanted the YM reader to hear the firsthand account of the making of ‘Stripped’ and the emotions surrounding it. Unfortunately, YM’s writers and editors chose to let their personal frustrations get in the way of presenting an objective article of Christina as an artist. It is truly disappointing that the outlet we chose for Christina to communicate to her teen fans turned its back on her.”
