Red Blooded Women checked in with fans on their blog at MySpace on Monday (January 5). The female electro pop trio tell readers:
It’s 2009! We’ve had an absolutely amazing 2008, but we think 2009 is going to be even better!
First of all, we’d like to say a big thank you for all your support in 2008 – we’ve worked so hard, and it’s this support that has kept us going and made it all worthwhile. Big thank you to all of our fans for coming and supporting us at gigs, all your kind messages, and buying our single! Special mention must go to Nowhere Man, who travelled all the way from the US to see our set at Electronically Yours, and to Mr. Blue, who has now seen us live around eight times if we are correct!
We’ve had some wonderful support from various websites and blogs this year, and it’s been amazing going online and seeing us and our songs featured in people’s end of year charts and round-ups, especially so early in our career. Big thanks to Electronically Yours who made ‘You Made Your Bed’ one of their top five tracks of the year – we’re over the moon with that. We were also awarded ‘Best Live Act’ by Don’t Stop The Pop which we were flabbergasted at – we hadn’t sung a note live until April last year, so to be crowned best live act a little over six months later is a remarkeable achievement. We were also in end of year lists from Electroqueer, Pop Trash Addicts, Fizzypop and Adem with an E, and have two songs in the top 10 of So Melismatic, so big thanks to them all for their support. And big thanks to Ashton, My Name Is Not Paul, and Blondini to name but a few for spreading the word on forums!
