Reports On Cheryl Cole’s Plans For Solo Material Denied
The Sun is reporting Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole is plotting a solo career with producer T2, who is currently working with former Mis-Teeq star Alesha Dixon. “Cheryl and T2 have been in discussions about her solo material,” a source told the British tabloid. “He is the man of the moment, with a lot of pop acts clamoring for his expertise on collaborations. He told her she would have to hold on a bit longer because he had commitments with Alesha � which went down like a lead balloon. Cheryl is keen to get cracking on new material and didn’t want to play second fiddle to anyone else.”
In response to the report, Girls Aloud posted the following message on their MySpace: “This morning rumors have been spreading that Cheryl has been/is currently/is set to work with T2 on some solo material. Of course, there’s absolutely no truth in the rumors and Cheryl is far too wrapped up in tour rehearsals to be working on new material. The tour is set to be the Girls’ biggest yet and each one of them is devoting all their time to making sure it’s also the best!”
