Billboard reports Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock, Ricky Martin, OutKast, Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken have been added to the performance lineup for the 31st annual American Music Awards. They will join previously confirmed performers Ashanti, Hilary Duff, Alan Jackson, Metallica and Britney Spears. The November 16th ceremony will take place at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium and will be broadcast live on ABC.
Clay Aiken Dines With Lady Friend In Philly
September 9, 2003 – The Philadelphia Daily News reports ‘American Idol’ runner-up Clay Aiken and a lady friend entered Pastrami & Things for lunch on Monday (September 8). He had chili and juice followed by Danish while the woman scarfed a roast beef sandwich and a Snapple. Several people shook his hand, one said he was better than the show’s champ Ruben Studdard. Clay responded, “He’s coming in next.”
