Ricky Martin brushed off suggestion that he might be piggybacking on the more serious reputations of singer-songwriters Alejandro Sanz, Ricardo Arjona, Juanes, and Franco de Vita, all of whom penned songs on his latest effort ‘Almas del Silencio’. “They’re friends, they know what I am,” he tells Jordan Levin of Knight Ridder. “They know the applause, they know what it is to feel violated. It felt amazing for them to be with me, knowing my ups and downs and weaknesses.”
