AFP reports Labor Secretary Elaine Chao is to meet with UNICEF goodwill ambassador Ricky Martin on Thursday to discuss child labor in Latin America and the Caribbean. The singer was named UNICEF goodwill ambassador a few weeks ago.

Ricky Martin performed his latest hit singles ‘Jaleo’ and ‘Juramento’ on the Miss Italia pageant on Monday (September 15). When asked by the host what are his favorite things about Italy, Ricky answered, “The food, the women, the art and culture, the beautiful music.”

Congratulations to Ricky on this appointment. This is the second time he is a Unicef Ambassador. I know that this means a lot to Ricky, and child welfare is something that is very close to his heart. I’m sure that he will do a great job helping kids in need all over the world. I’m so proud of Ricky! :o)
