Robbie Williams Back On Top With ‘Escapology’
Thanks to a trio of gigantic tour gigs at Knebworth, Robbie Williams has catapulted to the top of the British album charts with ‘Escapology’, shooting up 17 places to knock Magic and Medicine by rock band Coral off the top position. ‘Escapology’ was released during the Christmas holiday last year and held the top spot for several weeks. Robbie Returns To Los Angeles
August 11, 2003 – The Sun had photos, since removed, of Robbie Williams arriving at LAX after his marathon Knebworth shows, where he proved he’s not a diva by pushing his own luggage cart. Robbie arrived with pal Jonathan Wilkes and a mystery blonde, who seemed keen to hide her face under a green visor.
Rachel And Robbie Breakup Was Mutual
August 11, 2003 – Rachel Hunter spoke with The Sun about the split from Rod Stewart and her fling with Robbie Williams. On the latter subject, Hunter says, “The break-up was mutual. The whole thing about me dumping him is not true, it was a mutual decision. I just think its horrible for him to read things like that, its unfair. We’re still friends – but I haven’t spoken to him for a while.”
The CD is a flop in the U.S. Robbie is stuck-up and ungrateful and the US is not feeling him. He sweats his-self to much. Just whack. He’s a male Celine without the great pipes.
American people don’t know Robbie Williams. Britain has seen Robbie develop from a cheeky boy band member to the UK’s biggest star. He battled with drink and drugs for years and is only just beginning to enjoy his fame and his life in general. He comes across as being quite stuck-up and arrogant but after reading his book and seeing him on TV I can see that he’s not like that at all. He’s really insecure with himself and he has said before that his opinion of each aspect of himself is “below average”. He’s a great performer and a born entertainer. Maybe you’re the stuck-up one for not giving him a chance..?
I saw Robbie on Leno one night and he was rubbing his ass on all these men in the audience! Desperate for attention anyone!?
Obviously Americans don’t understand Robbie. As I said above, you should give him a chance. The thing you just mentioned is typical Robbie behavior. Trust me, he isn’t desperate for more attention and doesn’t need it. That’s just who he is. So unless you’re gonna try to understand him, stop judging.
People in the U.S. just don’t like his singing style. We know he’s “cheeky” and even talented, but his talent just doesn’t translate over here. But we don’t mind that his world domination continues in other territories, we really don’t.
