The Scottish Daily Record reports Robbie Williams went to desperate measures to boost his flagging career in America – by giving Pop Idol judge Simon Cowell a lap dance and kissing fans and guest Tonight Show host Katie Couric. “His performance was breathtaking,” a source said of his ‘Feel’ performance, which was given a standing ovation. “Some people will think Robbie is getting desperate but a lot more Americans will know who he is now.”

May 14, 2003 – G. Brown of the Denver Post profiled Robbie Williams’ attempt to kick off his career in the U.S. He writes, “The American pop music scene is in dire need of a personality. Wouldn’t the charts be a lot more fun if the “idols” and ‘stars’ had half as much charisma as Robbie Williams?”
