The People reports Robbie Williams has paid well above the list price to snap up a Dubai holiday home after learning former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and husband David had picked up a villa on the exclusive resort The Palm, along with Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. While they paid $1.6 million, Robbie had to buy a plot from a sheikh who had purchased multiple villas for the inflated price of $2 million. “Robbie called recently to place his order but was informed he was a bit late and all the plots were sold on Palm 1,” a source revealed. “He insisted he wanted to buy a villa on that resort – and was told that he needed to get a broker in the area. They put him in touch with a sheikh who bought up a couple of villas when they were first advertised. But Robbie was warned he’d pay an inflated price.”
