Robbie Williams In Bid For Big Screen Career

May 11, 2004 – The Sun reports Robbie Williams plans to fly to the South of France next week for the Cannes film festival to meet as many Hollywood moguls as possible in a bid to become a movie star. “He would love a stab at acting in a film,” a friend said. “He’s a very intelligent and witty person and he would be brilliant in front of the camera. He’s confident this could lead to other things.”

To Reform Without Robbie

April 28, 2004 – The Sun reports Take That will be reforming by the end of the year, without Robbie Williams. Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange, and Howard Donald are planning a one-off live performance, plus a series of TV appearances and interviews. “The band’s record label BMG came to us with the idea of releasing live footage of their old concerts,” former manager Nigel Martin Smith revealed. “It was obvious that there’s still a lot of interest in the band – and none of the footage has ever been put out. So we agreed to put out a live DVD – complete with Robbie. It will also coincide with the re-release of the band’s digitally remastered back catalog. The reunion is part of the deal. The lads are now deciding what to do but it will definitely include some TV appearances and interviews – and possibly a live special.”

Robbie Vows Take That Will Never Regroup

April 22, 2004 – Despite talk by Gary Barlow a Take That reunion was in order, Robbie Williams is insisting the band will never get back together. Robbie told The Sun, “A Take That reunion? I’m afraid there’s more chance of Hell freezing over.”
