Reuters reports Robbie Williams won an Echo award at Saturday’s ceremony in Germany, seen as among the world’s most important after the Grammys and Brits, for best international male rock/pop artist for a third consecutive year, edging out Justin Timberlake of *NSYNC, Seal and Eros Ramazzotti. “Thank you Germany for making me truly an international pop star,” said Williams in an ironic video message in which he mocked his critics who point to his troubles breaking into the U.S. market despite his success elsewhere.
