Russian Lawmaker Proposes State Honors For Tatu

RIA Novosti reports that Alexei Mitrofanov, a controversial lawmaker from the ultra-nationalist LDPR party, proposed Wednesday to award Julia Volkova and Lena Katina of t.A.T.u. with Orders of Friendship. He argued that the faux lesbian duo “have visited dozens of countries and have given thousands of interviews to the media. Even Prince Charles swore he would learn Russian before TV cameras during a meeting with them.” Read more.
