Ryan Starr Never Looked Up To Any Singer Growing Up

Gene Stout of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer spoke with ‘American Idol’ finalist Ryan Starr, who says she didn’t grow up with any music idols of her own. “I’ve liked a lot of singers and their styles of singing, but I’ve never really looked up to anybody,” Starr said. “If I had to pick, it would be somebody like Janet Jackson. I like the way she does things for other people, through a lot of charities and stuff. Being a singer is great, but I think you can really help a lot of people when you’re in the public eye.” Read more.
