Sanjaya: America Is Ready For An Indian American Idol

The Times of India caught up with Sanjaya Malakar, the 17-year-old who has shocked ‘American Idol’ viewers by making it to the final 12. “I never imagined that I would get into the top 12! I’m really excited,” said Malakar, who is half East Indian and Italian. “I think America is ready for an Indian American Idol.
