Sara Nunes spoke with Rolling Stone about her debut single ‘Simon Can’t Sing’, which takes on ‘American Idol’ judge Simon Cowell. The singer said that the song is more of a commentary on pop artists’ eagerness to please and “do some stupid soda-pop ad just to get their faces somewhere” than on Cowell. “The message in the song is that I wouldn’t want to sell myself,” the Finish singer said, “but it’s not meant to be taken too seriously. It’s just a pop song, and we don’t want Simon getting too pissed off.”
