Time Off magazine caught up with Sarah Blasko by phone from New York, where the Sydney singer-songwriter discussed new material she’s been working on to follow up her second album ‘What The Sea Wants, The Sea Will Have’. “I have been writing over the past few months and thinking about the direction the music’s heading, and I’ve got some early ideas,” Blasko said. “The things that I’ve been writing sound a bit old-fashioned, but I feel really passionate about writing at the moment, about finding the core of what I do, and breaking it down a bit and having the songs be a bit more focused style-wise.
