Selena Gomez & Demi Lovato Interviewed At ‘PPP’ Premiere

andPOP recently spoke with Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato on the red carpet for the Disney Channel TV movie ‘Princess Protection Program’. Demi joked about how her role as a princess made her a bit high maintenance on set, while Selena said she gave her BFF a hard time about how she’d always sit upright and she’d ask where the slouching Demi went.

As for Demi’s music, she said the new album “had to be toned down a bit” but hopes her darker musical side will be released in the future. “We definitely had to lighten it up,” the 16-year-old said. “My music is my therapy.”

Selena was asked how her debut album will compare to the late Michael Jackson – this was before his death. “It’s got a dance element.” The 16-year-old added, “It’s pop, it’s rock and I wanted to make sure it’s strictly fun, not too serious.” Watch the red carpet footage below.
