Shakira Addresses Comparisons To Other Pop Stars

Shakira spoke with Access Hollywood about comparisons she’s receiving to pop stars such as Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Jennifer Lopez. Shakira said, “I think we all have different natures as artists and all these artists that you just mentioned are great. They’re beautiful women; they are very charismatic and they have a function in the entertainment world. I understand that it is very logical, very normal, that people tend to compare me now, maybe because they don’t know my music in depth. Once they get to know the rest of my album, they’ll probably understand what I’m about as an artist too.”
