Shakira Comments On Aerosmith’s Broad Appeal

Associated Press spoke with the guys from Aerosmith on their honor for mtvICON, taped last night and airing Wednesday at 9 p.m. on MTV. Guitarist Joe Perry said of the honor, “You stick around long enough and you get noticed. It’s fun. It’s another adventure for us. That’s why we’re doing it.” Meanwhile, Shakira, who performs on the show, said of the group’s longevity and broad fan base, “So many people – children, older people – know who they are.”
