While some might compare Shakira’s international quick success to Cinderella, she doesn’t like the short-lived comparison. “I certainly don’t want to identify with Cinderella,” she tells the Chicago Sun-Times. “She had a dream that lasted only until midnight. I want to last until at least 3 a.m. But luckily, my career has developed in such a way that I had the chance to assimilate all the changes in my life. Life has been very benevolent to me.”
