Shakira Losing Alanis Comparisons

Katrillion talked to Shakira about her first run for success in the U.S. a few years ago when she was compared to Alanis Morissette. Shakira admits, “I was compared to Alanis especially when my hair was black, the comparisons ended when I changed my hair color, but I feel I certainly identify with her. It’s especially a natural association because of the songs I sing and the aggression onstage.”
