Joshua Klein of Metromix reviewed Shakira’s show at the United Center last Saturday night. Klein writes, “Each and every shake of the hip may have been choreographed for maximum impact, but to Shakira’s credit, she made it hard to take your eyes off of her.” He added, “She played up her place as a girl-power icon, then grinded suggestively against the set’s guardrails. She played instruments on stage, but just enough to show that she knew how. She charismatically connected with the far seats, but spent just as much time mugging for the cameras zooming in for a close-up.”
