Shaved Britney Spears Rumor Mongering Runs Amok

In wake of Britney Spears shaving her head last night, some “fan” sites for the singer have been posting irresponsible and unsourced gossip suggesting the singer was victim of a crime, visited the hospital, and quoted her manager Larry Rudolph. It’s safe to say that none of this information is true. If Rudolph were to make a statement, he would issue a press release (none has been issued as of yet) or would have spoken to a legitimate news outlet. If Britney had even left her home after returning at 9 PM last night, the paparazzi, many of whom are likely camped outside her home, would have swarmed, especially if she visited a hospital.
