Shayne Ward updated fans on his blog at MySpace on Monday (November 17) after being unable to attend the BBC Children in Need 2008 charity broadcast over the weekend. ‘The X Factor’ season two winner tells readers:
I would like to apologize to all of my fans in Northern Ireland for not being able to attend Children In Need on Friday night. I was unable to attend as I had a commitment in England which unfortunately clashed time-wise and I was unable to make it back to Northern Ireland in time. I even tried to get a helicopter last minute to rush across for the end but I was told that they couldn’t fly, believe me I tried everything!!
I hope to see you all soon at my Irish dates over Christmas. I will make it up to all of you and we’ll have a great night at the shows!
