Shayne Ward: Stephen Gately Is Forever In My Memory
Shayne Ward checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace on Friday (October 23), thanking them for 25th birthday wishes and commenting on the funeral for Boyzone singer Stephen Gately. ‘The X Factor’ season two winner writes:
Just wanted to say a massive thank you for all of the birthday messages! I am now 25 year’s old! Getting old lol!
I didn’t do much on my birthday this year. As you all know, a good friend of mine, Stephen Gately, died last week and I attended his funeral.
I can honestly say Stephen was one of the nicest and kindest people you could ever meet. It was a beautiful service and the Boyzone boys did Stephen proud with their speeches and support.
You are forever in my memory mate. My love and thoughts are with Stephen’s family.
