Stephanie McGrath of Allpop spoke with Christina Aguilera’s mother Shelly Kearns about her role as the ‘spokesperson’ in charge of rumor control on her daughters official website. Shelly talked about several subjects including when she opened up about the abuse she suffered in her marriage to Fausto Aguilera. Shelly revealed, “It’s funny because I just kept quiet for a while until I saw where Christina wanted to go with it and she was very open. Plus, we discussed it. Plus, not to mention, it wasn’t helping not to say anything. I know celebrities who are in very abusive home life situations and you’ve never heard about it.
