The Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports that the Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh partnered with Continental Real Estate for the first Shop to Stop Domestic Violence event last Sunday at the Galleria. More than 600 guests turned out to enjoy foods from Galleria and Waterfront vendors while they shopped after-hours. Christina Aguilera’s mother, Shelly Kearns, shared her experiences as a survivor of domestic violence at the hands of Christina’s father. Listening to her emotional message were chair Rebel Heasley, co-chair Pat Violi,Bruce Engelhardt and WC&S executive director Shirl Regan. Tickets were $100 each, so they raised about $60,000.
