In the midst of a bio-diesel bus tour, Sheryl Crow and environmentalist Laurie David are being trailed by a documentary film crew. “We’re hoping to make a documentary, kind of following up (the David-produced film) ‘An Inconvenient Truth,’ about what you can do on a personal level and in your businesses,” Crow tells Billboard. As for her next album, Crow said, “I’m finishing it now and I’m hoping it will be out before Christmas. There’s a song on there I’m hoping will come out first, which is very environmentally conscious, in the tradition of Bob Dylan. That’s another objective of mine; I’m really encouraging artists to write about what’s going on, because we seem to be very distracted by some lightweight topics. I think it’s time to start writing about the reality of what’s around us.”
