CNN’s Brooke Anderson talked with In Touch Weekly’s Carolina Bermudez and ‘Extra’ correspondent Carlos Diaz on ‘Showbiz Tonight’ about reaction to John Mayer revealing his breakup with Jennifer Aniston. “I think he comes off looking like a jerk, John Mayer,” Bermudez opined. “How many times did you have to tell us that you broke up with her, buddy? You know, it`s just not something that you do in those type of circles. Also, he has a creative outlet. He could have written a song if he was that upset about it. He could have gone on his blog like he`s done before. Standing on a street corner, talking to paparazzi about your relationship, not the best thing to do. Personally, I don`t think he came off looking that good.”
But Diaz was okay with Mayer’s remarks. “He`s an honest guy,” Diaz insisted. “Listen, he ended a relationship. He was asked a very simple question. He complimented Jennifer Aniston over and over again and he said, ‘I’m not a cheater. I’m not going to go cheat on her. I’m going to break up and then I’m going to date other people.” Watch the segment, aired Monday (August 18), below.
Friend Says It Was Jennifer Aniston Who Dumped John Mayer
August 19, 2008 – After John Mayer talked with the media about his split with Jennifer Aniston, a friend of the former ‘Friends’ actress said the singer songwriter crossed the line. “I ended a relationship to be alone, because I don’t want to waste somebody’s time if something’s not right,” Mayer had told an OK! magazine reporter. That prompted Aniston’s pal to tell Courtney Hazlett of MSNBC’s The Scoop, “Jen will never kiss and tell, but it’s she who ended the relationship. His childish behavior only confirms she was right to dump him. Now he’s acting like a spoiled child. Expect Jen to behave like a lady.”
